Procrastination Won
Let's switch it up.. (yes - this is the best opening line we could think of – it’ll make sense after you read the rest.)
Here’s a sneak peek into our bullsh*t:
We’re writing this article – an article you’ll all so dearly love and adore.
We’ve written a miLlioN of these at this point. We got it down to a science.
*48 actually, but you get it..
“jUsT aNoThEr ArTiCle”
..or so we thought 🥴
We have the idea, we know the point, we kinda have an opening line.. but we’re stuck.
Stuck, and over it.
You ever just ‘can’t’? – Can’t to the point of refusal?
Like, you graduate from can’t, and move onto ‘won’t’?
Well, that's where we’re at..
Normally, we just do it – but for some reason today – it’s not happening.
We’ve:
Argued
Ate burritos
Went into tangents about how much we hate burritos, (they’re trash, fight us)
Talked about how we’re stuck
Talked about how to unstuck
..didn’t actually do it
Figured out world hunger
..aka theorized 5 not for profits to help us do this
Yet still.. no article.
It’s past our deadline, and also time to eat again.
If we just moved past the first line, onto the article, it would have been done by now.
Instead, we dwelled like f*cki— look, we can’t even finish this sentence (this line is 100% a cop out).
In truth, we know what we did..
If those 48 articles taught us anything, we procrastinated.
There’s no shame, it happens to the best of us.
If we put as much energy and effort as we did into procrastinating.. we probably could’ve put a dent in fixing world hunger by now.. (world hunger is a serious issue, we know. Don’t come for us.)
What’s our point? Well, we really don’t know.
BUT there’s a lesson in everything.
How’s this? ..don’t get so caught up on starting off on the right foot. Sometimes you just have to force yourself to start and the rest will come.
Then again, we don’t know that.. we clearly never wrote the article :)
